Kanu celebrates one of his goals with teammates

Kanu, the 40-year-old forward was filling in for Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp who has country duties to attend to. Howard Webb was the referee and he was sharp enough to notive 12 men in the red of Arsenal before kick-off – as Kanu thought that he was starting. He wasn’t and the forward had to be marched off by the man he would replace in the 25th minute Gilberto Silva, much to Arsenal manager Wenger’s amusement on the substitutes’ bench.

Robert Pires got the third goal for Arsenal legends while Christian Vieri scored twice for AC Milan glorie.
